Accessing Our Services: Referral and Payment Options

Step 1: Getting a Referral
An appointment with a General Practitioner (GP) is often the first step to accessing mental health support. Your GP can work with you to develop a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows you to claim a Medicare rebate for our services.

How It Works with Medicare:

Clients referred under Medicare will pay the full fee for their sessions and receive a rebate, leaving an out-of-pocket expense.

To streamline the process, your GP can fax the Mental Health Care Plan to our friendly admin team at 03 4206 7738 or email it to admin@mentalhealthcg.com.

Private Payment Option
If you prefer, there’s always the option to pay the full fee without needing a referral or Mental Health Care Plan. This is ideal for individuals seeking immediate access to our services or those who have already used their Medicare session allocation.

What Happens After We Receive Your Referral?

Once we receive your Mental Health Care Plan via fax from your GP, our team will contact you to arrange your first appointment. If you haven’t heard from us within a few days, it’s possible we haven’t received your referral. In that case, please don’t hesitate to call us directly at 0425 831 176 or email us at admin@mentalhealthcg.com to follow up.

If you prefer, you can call us first to book an appointment and then organise your Mental Health Care Plan with your GP.
